Norfolk
Hotel
The Norfolk Hotel is rich in history and charm, being
one of the oldest hotels in Nairobi. The hotel is close
to the city center so is ideally situated for shopping
excursions and as a starting point for any safari.

This is a privately hosted stay at cottages
in the quiet suburbs of Nairobi. Each of four
cottages is built on a tree-house design, decorated
with immaculate style. Food and service is

Intrepids Lodge
This is the choice lodge stay in Samburu Game
Reserve in the North of Kenya. Accommodation
is permanent tented style with fitted bathrooms
all set up on platforms. Service and facilities
are good and there is a pool for relaxing around
in the afternoon. Samburu Game Reserve is host
to all the northern species of wildlife as well
as being excellent for Elephants and big cats.

Mount
Kenya Safari Club
The Mount Kenya Safari Club is beautiful in its
landscaped luxury. The Safari Club was established
by William Holden and gives everyone a chance
to relax from the heat and dust of safari and
enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There is a
small animal orphanage here where the children
will be able to interact with animals rescued
from unusual situations and being nurtured back
to health to be released in the wild. There is
also a swimming pool, tennis courts, riding and
a golf course.

The
Ark
Extending
up to 11,00 feet the Aberdare National
Park is richly forested, green and
lush. The Ark is situated high in
the forests of the Aberdare National
Park. As well as such animals like
elephant and buffalo we will hope
to see colobus monkey, giant forest
hog, bushbuck and even leopard. There
is a good chance for viewing animals
here at night as The Ark overlooks
a waterhole and salt lick, which
is brightly lit by spotlights all
night long.

Island
Camp
Island
Camp is on an island in Lake Baringo
in the rift valley. The Camp is ideally
situated on a lake with magnificent
views and with a very relaxing air.
There are opportunities here for
boat rides to see hippo and crocodiles,
also fabulous birdlife. We might
also visit a traditional lakeside
village whose income depends on fish
from the lake. Relaxing around the
swimming pool in the afternoon will
definitely be the most ideal place!

Lewa
Downs Ranch
At
the Lewa Downs Ranch we will
be hosted by the owners Will
and Emma Craig. This is a private
wildlife sanctuary supporting
large numbers of giraffe and
zebra and other wildlife, and
also home to some well protected
rhinos. There will be opportunities
for horse riding as well as hiking
in this scenic landscape, overlooked
by Mt. Kenya, we might also take
night drives.

Loisaba
Wilderness
A
small privately run lodge perfectly
situated on a hillside with stunning
views over the surrounding bushlands.
There is a swimming pool to relax
around in the hot afternoons
and plenty to keep us busy through
the day. As well as game drives,
there will be opportunities here
for hiking, riding camels or
horses and interacting with the
local Samburu community.

Deleraine
This
is an English manor type
of home built on a farm in
the Rift Valley, dating back
to the 1920's. Here we will
be hosted by Tristan and
Lucinda Voorspuy. We can
visit Lake Nakuru or Lake
Bogoria, both soda lakes
famous for concentrations
of flamingoes. On the farm
at Deleraine there are opportunities
for walking or horse riding.
Rusinga
Island - Lake Victoria
Lake
Victoria is a lake second
only in size to Lake Superior.
Here there will be opportunities
for watersports and fishing
for Nile Perch, the largest
freshwater fish in the
world. There are other
islands with local communities
and the chance of seeing
otters, fish eagles and
other fabulous birdlife
on the lakeshores. The
accommodation and service
is excellent in a beautiful
lakeshore setting.

Il
Ngwesi
A
small, privately run lodge perfectly
situated on a hillside with stunning
views over the surrounding bushlands.
We will be the only visitors here.
There is a swimming pool here to
relax around in the hot afternoons
and in between the other activities.
There will be opportunities for
hiking, riding camels and interacting
with the local community. This
is the perfect chance to spend
time outside the vehicles and spend
more time on foot as well as to
simply enjoy the fabulous location
of the lodge. |
