what some of our previous guests made of the On Safari Experience...
Edward
F. Walsh, Buffalo, New York
"Words
are completely inadequate to describe our appreciation
for our safari, it was perfect in every degree. We
left Buffalo as four couples, with close ties who
had walked through life together. We returned closer
friends with greater understanding of each other because
of this unique experience. My Holly has brought two
groups to you and they have been the most exciting
events of our 44 years of marriage. We have loved
both because of the rare beauty of it all. We have
truly been in the 'Garden of Eden' and have been guided
by you who has shared this love of frontier living
in such a professional way. In short you make a two
week visit so personal so complete, and so rewarding
that its uniqueness stands out by itself. You have
the ability and skill to customize the trip at a moment's
notice to the desires of your constituency and to
set yourself clearly apart from other safari groups.
Your program is total quality and so the memory is
lasting and complete"

"As former residents of Kenya, my husband and I
have returned to Kenya many times to go on safari...
and without fail regardless of the urban distractions
or current concerns, once we head for the bush and
the Game Reserves the magic takes hold. Our last safari
was with Anthony Cheffings and his incredible staff.
For the first time, we were taking friends with us,
a group of 10, for their first safari. We were especially
concerned that their first and possibly only safari
would be a memorable and enjoyable experience. From
my very first contact with Anthony in the planning
stages I was struck by his care and attention to our
wishes and quickly became confident that he would
provide the experience of a lifetime for us and our
friends ....... and it turned out to indeed be our
best adventure yet. Anthony's extensive knowledge
of the land and the wildlife, careful planning and
an experienced, wonderful staff made the days and
nights spent in our own private camps and on game
viewing drives totally enjoyable. After hot showers
provided by the camp staff following a day of dust
and excitement, each evening we enjoyed drinks around
the campfire before dinner, sharing stories and sightings
and marveling at the breathtaking vistas and quiet,
intimate, chance encounters with the animals that
we had each day. We couldn't have asked for more!!
We had experienced safari many times before but this
one was exceptional because of the way Anthony took
care everything. Of course, the wine, manhattans,
gin and tonics, plum jam, jokes and napkin tricks
at dinner and cheetah on the hood of our vehicle contributed
a bit too!"

"There
was so much that made this trip special and I want
you to know just how much I appreciated not only the
enormity of effort and organization that was required
by you to create such an experience, such an adventure.
The details, the minutiae must be staggering even
with all the experience you have, just to get us,
your guests, to a campsite! All of us were incredibly
impressed with your professionalism, for in this regard
we know you went all out to take care of us, creating
the framework for our adventure. The campsites were
wonderful, your staff a fine group of men, the food,
the Tusker beer, our comfort in every way possible
was obviously primary to you - and it showed. But
what was most compelling for me and what is most telling
in what makes for a great host in creating the experience
we had is the sharing. Yes we did come to see animals,
and you did everything in your power to make that
happened - and you succeeded! But the sharing of your
knowledge, your years of experience and the love of
your Kenya made me feel so much more a part of things,
wetting my appetite for more -this is what impressed
me most and made our wonderful trip complete. I thank
you for that. My only complaint is in regards to the
food. I ate too much of it and the photos of me aren't
great because I look like a pie eater!"

"My
favorite part was riding the horses, seeing the baby
lions and cheetahs and warthogs. PS The Tommys are
cute too"

"To say it in
one word this trip was just 'fabulous', full of highlights
in every sense; accommodation, food, animals, many elephants
and lions and most of all lots of good company. Thanks for
having shared the bush, explaining wildlife in a way that
we will certainly be coming back to Kenya and learning about
wildlife behaviour. From the zebras crossing the river, the
fishing, the lions catching the two zebras, the 20 lions nearing
our tent, rafting, horseback riding - our trip was complete!
See you in France"
